friends
Tonight we went to Lake Elmo Park with the Holms' family for dinner and swimming. Sophie and Emilia had fun playing in the water and at the park. We got a glimpse of what the future holds with having girls as there were times where Sophie and Emilia would just giggle with each other (I'm sure I'll post a video as well because it's just too cute!)

mom-mobile

Well, we've done it. The time had come for us to buy a new car. Many things led up to this decision...Matt moving out in Sept. (meaning Mike will have to have a car to drive to work), another kid coming in about 6 months, and the AC doesn't work in our Jeep. We've been talking about it and researching it for awhile now and we settled on the Mazda 5. If you know us very well, you know that we cannot get ourselves to buy a minivan, so we found this car that has a lot of the practical features of a minivan, like sliding doors and bucket seats in the back. It also has a 3rd row that's really only made for children, but thinking ahead to our future, that's what we're buying for these days (: It also has a lot of storage room. We're getting the windows tinted this week which will be nice for the kiddos especially. We're pretty pumped about it. It gets great gas mileage (definitely better than the old Jeep) and will be a lot more comfortable for Sophie now and when baby comes. And, I'm so, so happy to have air conditioning! We weren't planning on leaving today with a new car but everything fell into place and we got a payment that we could afford.

Father's Day weekend
Again, we were up at the cabin for the weekend. I wasn't very good at taking pictures this weekend. But did get a few good ones of the rainbow that went over the lake. It was the first time I had seen both ends of a rainbow. We had a good Father's Day. Sophie's a pretty lucky little girl. She has a dad that adores her and we both are so thankful for him. He makes our lives a lot of fun!!!
