today we took Sophie to the community center to see how she would do in the pool. I had recently bought her swimsuit so I was anxious to see her in it as well (: here's the story of our pool adventure...

it took a little bit of time and some tears, but Sophie ended up loving the pool. I'm sure we'll be spending more time there now!

I guess I hadn't realized how long Sophie's hair was getting...I decided to try pigtails and sure enough she has more than enough hair for them. She looked adorable!

We love letting Sophie learn how to do things, but sometimes it gets just a little messy!

weekend in Indiana

This past weekend we flew to Chicago to spend the weekend with Mike's family that live just across the border in Indiana. We wanted to see Troy and Katie (cousins) before their daughter was born (due end of February) and of course see everyone else. Unfortunately Sophie was a little under the weather but they were still able to finally see some of her goofy side before we left, which you will get to see pictures of at the end of this post. We had a great time and are so excited for Sophie's cousin to be born!

Last night we had a fun night hanging out with some friends and enjoyed some sledding. It was Sophie's first time sledding so we had no idea how she would react, but she loved it. She cried and cried when it was time to go.
