amazing race - minneapolis style

Yesterday Mike & Jake and Matt & Sarah competed in a fundraiser for the Salvation Army. The morning started with a qualifying event to get the number of teams down to 20 (I think they said there were about 75-80 teams there). Mike & Jake came in first at the qualifier and Matt & Sarah finished soon after. A few hours later they raced around Minneapolis only able to use public transportation as they went from clue to clue and had to complete some sort of challenge at each stop. By the end of the race they had run miles and were very tired. Mike & Jake finished 5th overall and Matt & Sarah finished 12th. The winners walked away with $5000 (well before taxes of course!). For the most they had a great time (Matt & Sarah ran into some bad luck at the bowling alley...) while Sophie and I waited at the finish line.
