It's so hard to believe Calla is one! We had friends and family over for dinner and cake/cupcakes. We love being able to thank as many people as possible for helping us in this crazy parenting journey. The first year is such a crazy time (not that it gets easier!) so we figure the first birthday is a great time to celebrate! As always, it was fun to pull everything together for the party. And, she did not disappoint when it came time for cake :)

but first some dinner (I think she was overwhelmed to find all these people in our house when she woke up from her nap!)
and then she got a little overwhelmed with all her "helpers" opening presents
so she ended up on daddy's lap (after she put a necklace on him of course)
she did NOT want to get back in her high chair for cake
but calmed down when this was put in front of her!
I think she liked it :)
of course she couldn't forget her hair
and then the sugar coma hit
