State Fair

Last night we went to the MN State Fair with our friends Brent & Karna (and ended up meeting up with MK as well).  We took a chance on the probable rain (which it didn't...just sprinkled a bit) and enjoyed a not so busy & cool night at the fair.  Usually we sweat the whole time we are there so it was nice to actually be a little chilly.  Being from Kansas where our state fair is in some other town it's been funny over the years to see how big this fair is to people.  I've grown to love going, even though it's pretty much the same year. It's a fun tradition to look forward to!  The food pictures are compliments of Mike (:

cheese & Spam curds (gross), but the guys thought it was so cool

one of the many staples of the fair...Sweet Martha's cookies and unlimited milk

at the Miracle of Life area...I couldn't get the ponies in the picture but that's what they are looking at

dinner...huge pieces of pita bread.  According to Sophie, it was "fishy bread" (most bread has turned into fishy bread from feeding the fish at the cabin)

went to a Lumberjack show.  It got a little loud. Sophie was less than thrilled so we ended up  leaving

probably my favorite picture from the night...she's sooo tired but has her milk & cookies!
