Since our "baby" is turning 2 on Monday and someone else is going to be needing the crib in a few months, we decided to make a big deal about a big girl bed for her birthday. We took apart the crib and moved it into the baby's room and spent the evening putting together her bed. She actually did very well entertaining herself and "helping" until it was time to go to bed. She's still sleeping in her crib for the weekend, but we're hoping to make the transition next week. We'll see how it goes! She does have bunk beds in her room now. We know the top won't get used for quite awhile but it made sense to go ahead and get them as they can break down into 2 beds instead as well. We hope she likes it! And, yes, it's from Ikea...if you know me at all, you wouldn't even have to ask (:
