We spent about 5 days in Chicago last week. Mike was there taking a class for work so Sophie and I tagged along and stayed for the weekend. We had a great time staying downtown, right off of Michigan Ave. and doing some of the touristy things we haven't done before. Sophie experienced many "firsts" on this trip:
first plane ride (she was fantastic! and, don't worry, she sat in my lap. This was strictly a photo-op)

first time at Navy Pier (she really did enjoy it...when she was awake)

first time at the zoo (especially liked watching the penguins and sea birds)

first time on the "el" and on the city bus (loved watching the el trains come in and leave)

first time sleeping at a airport with a very delayed flight (what a sport, she did great!)
Here are a few pictures of other things we did. We walked A LOT around the city. Sophie got used to being in her stroller. She liked looking at people and all the cars and buses going by. Mike and I actually got to spend an afternoon together and went to a Cubs game. Thanks to Aunt Kathy & Dennis for babysitting!
