cabin

For the last week of my break Sophie and I were able to head up to the cabin and spend almost a full week.  Oma came with us and then everyone else came up on Thursday and Friday. It was a great first weekend at the cabin.

eating breakfast on the island - daddy did not appreciate this

figuring out these binoculars...she's getting an up close view of oma

she liked to sweep...i tried to get a picture of her doing it but she decided to try and get the camera, but the biased mom I am, just thinks she looks so pretty in this picture (even carrying a dustpan!)

the guys working on the new fire pit...jake did a great job!

Sophie's been spending more and more time on her own. She'll just sit and look at books or play with toys.  It's been really fun to watch her become a little independent.

I got her a Dora sand bucket for the cabin.  She just loved it and spent lots of time playing in the sand/dirt outside the cabin.  (doesn't she look like a little explorer!)

enjoying the view

it's not a weekend at the cabin without washer toss

Sophie couldn't be safer we thought...the dogs would surround her while she sat there and played. It was pretty cute.

"am I not supposed to be doing this?"

"uh-oh"

  1. Sophie is SO cute. Isn't it amazing how fast they change? She already looks older in these pictures than in the Chicago pictures. You guys are going to have a heartbreaker on your hands in a few years.
