Mike happened to drive by the lake near our house today and saw that there was some stuff going on, so after spending FOREVER trying to get out the door with everyone (including the dog) we made it over there. We had to walk across the lake for awhile to get to where the stuff was, so luckily Mike thought to bring a little sled for Sophie or we may have never made it. It was fun to finally be outside and enjoy this 45 degree day. Jackson slept the entire time so he obviously thoroughly enjoyed himself. We have been so busy lately that it was nice to get out and enjoy some time together. To finish off our family day, out to dinner and a movie at home. We're hoping Sophie will want to watch one that we actually might enjoy as well! It's nice to have days like this...much needed!

they were having races with these things...I don't know what they were called but it was fun to watch

sophie loves sliding on ice and laughs when she falls. I think she could have spent all day out there
they also had a bunch of people flying kites. there were at least twice as many as this being flown.
